Based on the needs assessment, InterAct Training Group develops training programs customized for specific organizational needs. Training programs are designed to include group interaction with ample opportunity to practice the new skills. When developing training programs, InterAct begins with the end in mind. Thinking about the desired outcomes and learning that must occur, InterAct uses a methodical process to create learning and behavioral objectives with activities and content to support those objectives.
InterAct Training Group creates a safe environment to facilitate a positive learning experience, where people feel encouraged to ask questions and participate fully. A benefit of InterAct's approach is that learning is made fun. Who says you can't learn something and have fun at the same time? Learners are involved in the training through multimedia presentations and activities that are directly relatable to their work environment. Participation is encouraged and good behavior is rewarded. Learners are involved in application planning to help them begin thinking about how they will apply their newly acquired skills back on the job.
Organizations spend a significant amount of money on training and often wonder if they are getting an appropriate return on their investment. Developing an evaluation system allows measurement of the effectiveness of the training initiative. Through this process the employer partners with InterAct Training Group to identify the desired organizational results and behavioral changes for employees. When these desired outcomes are communicated to learners, the probability is greater that the training will effectively address organizational issues. In designing evaluation systems, InterAct Training Group creates measurement tools to assess how learners feel about the training, what they learned, the actual application of the new skills back on the job, and the return on investment that the organization received from the training. Any training worth doing is worth measuring!
The point of training is to help participants change behavior and apply new skills back on the job. The transfer plan is an action plan describing the responsibilities of the trainer, the participant's manager, the trainee, and other significant stakeholders to make the training stick. Transfer plans compel the organization to look at the barriers inhibiting participants from using their new skills back on the job, and to think about ways to remove those identified barriers. A transfer plan transitions a training expense to an investment with a return.
As an intervention separate from group training or in addition to group training, performance coaching can accelerate the development of high potential employees. The coaching process that is used by InterAct Training Group begins with the coachee completing an assessment to identify their strengths and limitations and a collaborative process with the coach, the coachee, and the coachee's manager to establish coaching goals. Typically the coach and the coachee connect twice a month to focus on the development of new skills, and identify ways to put those skills into action, back on the job. Each coaching session ends with an agreement on action steps to be taken by the coachee. Coaching without action is of little value. The coachee reports out on the actions taken, their learning, and successes and challenges from the actions during the next coaching session.
With a focus in the business development arena, InterAct Training Group also provides clients with business development consulting services. These services include identifying potential market segments for clients, research of the competitive marketplace and potential clients, development of marketing plans and strategies, and development of people within the client organization to execute the plans and strategies. InterAct can help you develop a plan and a new market segment or can essentially do it for you.
